I have so much appreciation for MVP Sports and Social. The people I’ve met through this amazing league have quickly become some of my closest friends and considered family. It all started when I was lucky enough to be invited onto a softball team a couple years ago, and from there was just swarmed by so many amazing people it was impossible not to get involved further. I ended up playing kickball until I was pulled into the world of volleyball.. and from there is when things really got serious! When the league was shut down from Covid, we were lucky enough to be able to participate in socially distant pickup games, which was the main thing that kept me sane (or as close to sane that’s achievable for me)! Everyone that I had encountered helped me learn the game and practice my skills.. to this day they’re still continuously encouraging me to continue to grow and get better and I’m constantly learning new things. Now even on the off days when we aren’t playing league games of something, we are either all getting together for pickup or just going out to eat or for a drink or some form of activity. What makes this league so incredible is there are so many different people, from all walks of life, all ages, and skill level that come together— it is the most inclusive group filled with positive, kind and respectful people. In a world that was starting to feel incredibly cold and polarized, this group of people have really helped me restore a positive outlook on life and are always there to show me different perspectives. Thank you Chris McComas for building such a beautiful community of people, I hope you know how much it means to so many of us!

I played MVP kickball & volleyball for 18months when I lived in Sarasota for work. I signed up for MVP knowing only one person in the area and made dozens of friends by the end of my time in FL. Chris has built a wonderful rec sports community by knowing names, showing up at games and gatherings, and being a great human. I am thankful for MVP for bringing me lasting friendships!

I have been a member of MVP sports and social since it began many years ago. The owners, Chris and Jessi, are the epitome of homestyle, local, fun, inspiring, business owners!

My favorite is sand volleyball, but I have also turned friends on to softball, kickball, bowling, golf, and cornhole. Thank God for MVP bringing adult league sports to the Bradenton/Sarasota area!
