Here are the results from our Annual Holiday Sand Volleyball Tournament!⚡️ Tampa Bay Lightning Tickets. • Every player and spectator was invited to play our football toss game to win 4 tickets to a Lightning game of their choice courtesy of Yeff (Jeff Falfas). 🎄🏐 Yesterday was one of those days that reminds me (Chris) exactly why MVP is special. Not because of the scores, or the winners, or even the volleyball, but because of the people who show up behind the scenes and make something like this possible.This tournament does not happen without volunteers, and I want to take a moment to truly thank the humans who poured their time, energy, and heart into making yesterday run as smoothly (and as fun) as it did:✨ Kelly absolutely crushed tournament prep: organizing all of the merch and raffle items and getting everything set up so it was ready to go from the jump.🔧 Jason handled tournament setup and made sure the foundation of the day was solid before the first serve was even hit.🎟️ Clair, Erin, and Meghann ran the Feel Good Fund raffle and merch table and somehow still found time to capture all the content you’ll be seeing throughout the day. Since I was tied up directing the tournament, they made sure the memories didn’t get missed; huge thank you to all three of you.🍻 Kerry, Danielle, and George — our amazing sponsors — brought an awesome assortment of drinks and snacks, plus the wildly hilarious Mad Lib games that had everyone laughing. (We’ll be sharing those winners later today 👀)🥤 Caleb came through in a big way with the Grinch Punch, helped with setup and breakdown, and made sure we left the park cleaner than we found it.🧾 Susan handled check-in and helped literally anywhere and everywhere she was needed. And just to put this in perspective… she also just wrapped up final payment for our 300-passenger MVP Cruise and still showed up with energy to volunteer. Absolute superhero.🐖 Dan spent all day Friday prepping the food, and all day Saturday smoking and grilling the food, while also still playing in the tournament. He feeds everyone, no questions asked, and it is truly something special. 🪨 And of course, we missed De yesterday. She is the heart and soul of our tournaments and normally runs the show, and while we felt her absence, everything she’s built absolutely showed through. We can’t wait to have her back where she belongs.To every one of you — thank you for believing in what MVP is about and for giving your time to create an experience that goes far beyond the game. Chris does an incredible job organizing all the different sports and activities MVP offers. Always a great evening of fun no matter what you choose to participate in.
